Who I am
I am Prashanth Badrinath, a freelance Japanese–English interpreter based in Hyderabad, India. For the past two years, I have been supporting Japanese companies and Indian organizations engaged in Japan-related projects and partnerships.
Born and raised in Hyderabad, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, English Literature, and Journalism. I am also certified at JLPT N1 level, the highest level of proficiency in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
With my practical field experience, I focus on delivering accurate, professional, and culturally appropriate interpretation services.
I began learning Japanese in 2019 through online interaction with Japanese friends and communities. During the pandemic, I spent extensive time communicating with native speakers, which helped me develop natural conversational ability.
From 2021 onwards, I focused on strengthening my reading, writing, and technical comprehension skills through self-study. In July 2023, I successfully passed the JLPT N1 examination.
After graduating from college, I began using my Japanese skills professionally in teaching, interpretation, and translation. Over the past two years, I have continued to improve my language and technical knowledge through real-world project experience.
I provide professional Japanese–English interpretation and communication support for projects across multiple technical and business domains, including mechanical engineering, electrical systems, wastewater treatment, artificial intelligence, and deep-tech sectors.
I serve as a reliable communication bridge between Japanese and Indian teams, helping ensure accurate understanding, smooth collaboration, and efficient project execution.
With sufficient preparation time, I thoroughly study project materials, terminology, and industry background to support new domains and specialized requirements. My approach emphasizes preparation, confidentiality, and consistent quality.
