The Beginning

Began learning Japanese independently through textbooks, native conversations, and online communities focused on daily communication.

2019

Full Immersion

Spent the pandemic in intensive daily conversation with native Japanese speakers developing natural fluency rather than
using textbooks.

2020–21

Reading. Writing. Depth.

Shifted focus to technical reading, writing, and
comprehension preparing for professional interpretation work
and the JLPT N1 examination.

2021–23

N1 Certified

Passed the JLPT N1, the highest level of Japanese language proficiency through self-study and consistent field practice.

July 2023

Forever learning

Japanese has no finish line. Every project, every room, every conversation teaches me something I did not know before.
