A group of CEOs from Japan visited India to understand the country’s current economic and technological growth. Because most of the CEOs did not speak English, they needed a language bridge to explore Woxsen University and T-Hub. Their goal was to understand how university departments and startup hubs work, but the language barrier made it difficult to engage with the complex lab environments and technical briefings.
I accompanied the group through several departments at Woxsen University. I translated technical details in the university's advanced labs, focusing on how their specific research facilities prepare students for the tech industry. At T-Hub, I explained how those academic ideas are turned into real-world startups, ensuring all technical and business concepts are clear in Japanese.
I provided real-time interpretation for every lab tour, presentation, and meeting. I made sure the CEOs could communicate naturally with university experts and startup founders and ecosystem leaders, overcoming the language gap so they could fully understand the role Universities and startup incubators play in India's innovation system.
The clarity of the tour led to extraordinary results. One participant was so impressed by Woxsen University’s infrastructure that they donated ¥10,000,000 (US$ 70,000) to the university. Furthermore, the delegation is now planning a partnership through Indobox Inc. to host Woxsen students in Japan for 2 to 4-week programs, creating lasting international career opportunities.
